Two weeks ago I announced test of Sanex Dermo Pro Hydrate gel shower. Though, after detailed analysis of composition I was very disappointed, I decided to give it a chance. I counted on good properties of cosmetic to cover this first wrong impression. Does Sanex Dermo Pro Hydrate moisturise? How did Sanex gel shower for very dry skin work for me?

At the beginning I’d like to remind few informations, which appeared in previous review, however I believe that they should be mentioned one more time.

Composition

The biggest disappointment of this review. It supposed to be non-chemical, safe and based on ingredients that naturally appear in skin. It’s the other way round. Sanex Dermo Pro Hydrate contains SLES (Sodium Laureth Sulfate), i.e. popular foaming substance, which can be harmful to health. No one confirmed nor denied its cancer-causing properties, so it would be probably better to stay away from such substance as far as it’s possible. Sadly, Sanex decided to use it in its gel shower.

Besides SLES, in composition are other chemical ingredients, which suppose to moisturise skin and protect it. Washing ingredients with softening properties are for example: Glycerin, Cocamidopropyl Betaine, Coco- Glucoside, Sodium Chloride, Sodium Lactate, Lactic Acid, Styrene/Acrylates Copolymer, Glyceryl Oleate and Caprylyl Glycol. As I mentioned before, composition doesn’t delight us with its naturalness. And what are other properties?

Formula

Gel has 500 ml bottle. Sanex Dermo Pro Hydrate has creamy consistence, though is a bit more liquid than products I usually use for shower and there is a bit less foam. In no way it influences its washing properties, because it distributes well on skin. Additionally, gel has a quite efficient formula.

Effects

Time for what you waited for, i.e. effects of cosmetic use. Does Dermo Pro Hydrate really ensures deep moisture, complex protection and restoration of pH balance? Skin after the wash is immediately moisturised and cosmetic eliminates dry properties of hard water (and that is a kind of water we have in almost every tap). That was the moment in which it gained my trust, but I still think that composition could be a bit less chemical. :)

As for long term effects, I am very pleased. Even though, I never demanded from a gel shower to work like lotion, Sanex Dermo Pro Hydrate positively surprised me in this matter. Until now, my skin after shower was dry, tight and even irritated. Since I use this product I had no effects like that. Sanex gel shower washes well, perfectly moisturises and softens skin.
